Etiquette Workshop
We are thrilled to share with you the success of our first etiquette class on January 28th at 2103 Washington Street in Roxbury, MA. With the support of YMCA, The Pearl Restaurant, Conrad Builds, and WORC2, we could host 60 children for a memorable event.
The workshop started with the basics of table manners and formal dining. The children were served a four-course meal, giving them a taste of the elegance and refinement of a formal event. The boys learned how to tie a tie and shine their shoes, while the girls had a girl talk session discussing proper clothing for formal events. They also had the opportunity to shop in our free pop-up boutique.
We ended the event with a survey and encouraged the children to purchase their tickets for the Nubian Square Youth Ball happening on February 25th at 2300 Washington Street in Roxbury, MA. This event is an opportunity for the youth to put into practice what they learned and showcase their newfound etiquette skills.
Etiquette classes are not a common discussion topic, but they play a crucial role in empowering our youth. These classes help shape the future leaders of our community, instilling in them the importance of respect, confidence, and class. Our goal is to positively impact our youth and empower them to be the best version of themselves.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers and supporters who made this event a success. Your generosity and support mean the world to us.
