For me, the best part of Juneteenth was the amount of support we received during both marches we participated in. Supporting our efforts, people shouted from their home windows, car windows, and passing by on bikes. We marched through the city chanting and marching as the police stopped traffic for us to pass. These first marches will remain in my memory forever.
