Celebrating Cape Verdean Heritage & Unity with Tudo Djunto & Bumbya

On August 16, 2025, Meaningful Occasions had the pleasure of working alongside Tudo Djunto and author Bumbya (Milton Dosouto) to host one of three block parties in a special series dedicated to celebrating Cape Verdean heritage and unity.

A Day of Food, Music, and Community

The block party was filled with laughter, delicious food, music, and dancing that brought neighbors together in joy. Families came out to celebrate culture and togetherness while also taking part in back-to-school giveaways, ensuring youth were prepared for the upcoming school year. The day reflected the true spirit of community: support, pride, and fun for all ages.

While Meaningful Occasions was proud to help bring the day to life, the vision and leadership behind this block party belong to Milton Dosouto and Mario Rodrigues. Their commitment to the greater good and their ability to see beyond negativity to create something uplifting and unifying made this event possible.
